Specializing in Fiscal Reform and Environmental Policy. He has
Extensive Experience as an Advisor to Governments and Non-Governmental
Organizations in Asia, Africa and the Americas, and was Recently
Honored by President Kim Dae Jung for Helping Korea Successfully
Cope with the Financial Crisis in East Asia. In Addition to Being
the Ervin Kenneth Zingler Professor of Economics, Dr. Gillis Currently
Serves as the Sixth President of Rice University.
