faculty and teachers will present how they are using writing and communication
in colleges, universities, and schools across the country. Policy
makers will be encouraged to attend these sessions to learn firsthand
about innovations and outcomes in WAC programs.

WAC REPRESENTATIVES
AND POLICY MAKERS:
The conference will invite international guests, elected
officials, secretaries of Federal agencies, representatives of policy
institutes, university presidents, legislators, superintendents and
school principals to join WAC scholars in creating a vision of citizens
prepared to learn and lead through excellence in communication. Professional
organizations' panel Saturday morning will discuss action recommendations.
