Arizona EarthVision

This site is great. They utilize communications methods such as CU-See-Me video conferencing and audio transmissions to provide high school students with a plethora of environmental education. An e-mail discussion list is also available. Guest speakers also broadcast their speeches from this site. A must see site.

Bayou City Watershed Action Team & Education Research Project

Houston area schools have constructed a watershed database and water quality research network.  Great site for students and teachers interested in learning more about watersheds and wetlands.

Byrd Polar Research Center

On-line environmental research organization.

Clean Air Trust 

Site devoted to educating the public about the value of clean air. 

Division of Endangered Species

Site lists endangered and threatened species which is updated monthly; The Endangered Species Bulletin, and species maps that indicate the number of listed and proposed endangered and/or threatened species.

EE Link

Information and ideas that help educators and students explore the environment. Contains classroom resources and activities, educational contacts, reference materials and more.

E-Source

An online database and bulletin board system developed to provide a variety of information on recycling and environmental issues. You can't access the site by WWW, but you can dial-up direct to their computer via yours (800) 831-8826. Or call (800) 367-8272 for human help.

Obtain a free account on the EnviroLink network. Access the Internet Green Marketplace, Worldwide Environmental Bulletin Boards, and online EnviroServices, such as EnviroChat. When you sign-on with the freenet, you also get a free e-mail account.

The GLOBE Program

Group of students, teachers, and scientists who work together to learn more about the planet. GLOBE students gather scientific data at their schools and pass it along to other students via the Internet. Scientists analyze the data and share their findings. Great program.

Site offers scientific and technical information regarding the Great Lakes ecosystem.

Hudson River Sloop - Clearwater

Learn more about the Clearwater and the efforts of its crew to educate the public about the importance of clean water. You can also learn more about volunteering to crew aboard the Clearwater.

Great site for learning more about biomes, biospheres, geographic regions, endangered species, and water quality.  Site also offers classroom activities, and reference and search tools.

National Estuary Program of the EPA

If you are looking for information on anything that has to do with estuarine environments you need to surf to this site. This is probably the most comprehensive site you'll find in regards to estuaries.

National Wildlife Federation

Great site to learn more about what is going on with Earth's environment.  Very informative site.

Wonderful site that keeps you current on any and everything having to do with nature.
