RCC vs MCC-TOG. 25-over game. MCC Ground, Tombass Park 10:15 AM, Sunday, August 5, 2007 RCC Roster
We won the game with plenty to spare. It was an all-round team effort. We first set up a competitive total of 157 in 25 overs, with almost everybody chipping in with some runs. Sushant opened the batting and scored 26 runs in 30 deliveries. Arun scored 29 runs (1X4, 2X6) in 19 deliveries in the middle overs and Dhaval scored 29 runs (1X4, 2X6) in 23 deliveries in the second half of the innings to provide much needed impetus. RCC bowlers bowled well, picking up wickets at regular intervals, supported by fine fielding. The bowling honors were shared by Ravi, Hamed, Dhaval, Venkat, Arun and Neeraj. It wasn't easy fielding in the heat with 10 fielders, reduced to 9 for half the innings. But we did well to sustain the effort. Even though MCC-TOG managed to play out 25 overs, the challenge was over by the 20th over. They ended up 20 odd runs short. |
