John Cook
Born in Bastrop, Lousiana, John studied ballet with Bill Martin-Viscount,
Richard Monroe, Jean Martinell, and Gail Benn. He also studied tap dance with
Paul Draper, Brenda Buffalino, Sam Weber, and Louis Drapon. During the 1980s he
held scholarships with Fort Worth City Ballet, Dallas Metropolitan Ballet, and
Jean Martinelli Ballet of Geneva. He holds an MA in Liberal Studies from Reed
College and is now completing a PhD in Performance Studies at Northwestern.
