The Rice Linguistics Society will host a poster session to accompany the 11th Biennenial Rice Symposium on Linguistics, to be held March 16-18th in Houston, Texas.

Topic

The theme for the poster session is "Complex Predicates and Similar Constructions". We invite papers from all areas and orientations of linguistics that touch upon the structure, meaning, usage, or development of complex constructions. These posters should complement the symposium topic of "Intertheoretical approaches to complex verb constructions". For more information, consult www.rice.edu/lingsymp

Submission Guidelines

The deadline for submissions is January 31st, 2006.

Please submit a 300 word abstract in PDF format to rls@rice.edu. The filename should be AUTHORSNAME.pdf. Please include "poster session" in the subject. The email body should include:

1. Name of author(s)
2. Paper title
3. Institution(s) of author(s)
4. Email address(es) of author(s)
5. Postal address(es) of author(s)
6. Phone number for primary author

Postal submissions will not be accepted.

Poster Presentation

Participants will be given a space approximately 6' by 4' to display their work.

Registration
