The proposed program, that has been approved to be a
one-credit class, is a 10-day
intensive language and culture program and opportunity to visit with
business leaders in Cuernavaca and Mexico City. The
trip is scheduled for
January 2-11, 2005
and the class will be available for registration in November as a Spring
05 course.
Cuauhnáhuac Language School in Cuernavaca is a small, intensive program
that customizes courses for the students based upon
his or her individual skills. Each student is placed in a small class
after being tested for ability. Intensive business Spanish
classes will be held in from 8:00am to 2:20pm including afternoon
workshops focusing on culture and issues particular to the
Latin American business community will be explored. Students will live
with families in the neighboring
colonia. Students from other
MBA programs throughout the world will also be in attendance for this
session.

Cuernavaca, placement interviews, orientation, and students meet their

Cuernavaca intensive
language classes in the morning and culture classes and preliminary
meetings with corporations/contacts in the afternoons

Free days for
excursions or research. Move to Mexico City. |

The cost of the program
would be approximately $1000. This would include the flight to Mexico,
transfers, room/board in Cuernavaca, tuition and hotel in Mexico City for
2 nights.
The intention of this offering is to provide Jones School students a
unique international educational experience and international networking
opportunities.
