Current projects involve forward and reverse genetic approaches to understanding peroxisome biogenesis and plant peroxisomal functions, genetic analyses of the roles of indole-3-butyric acid and auxin conjugates in auxin homeostasis, auxin response mutants, functional genomics to understanding how and why plants synthesize diverse triterpenoids, and the roles and targets of plant microRNAs.
