Engineering Soft Matter:

Soft matter, a class of materials characterized by their ability to undergo significant deformation, is fundamentally built from colloids, polymers, surfactants, and lipid building blocks. These systems exhibit unique interactions on mesoscopic scales, leading to complex behaviors such as self-assembly, phase transitions, and responsive properties. Our group aims to understanding these interactions to design materials with tailored functionalities, impacting a wide range of applications, from advanced coatings and flows in porous media to sensors and energy storage solutions. The study of these components not only deepens our understanding of materials but also drives innovation in emerging technologies.
