This is a wonderful site full of information.  You can access research data, take a look at their wetland plant nursery, take advantage of educational opportunities.  This is the place to purchase your own copy of the Wonders of the Wetlands Curriculum Guide or the new publication The Planning of Wetlands.

E.P.A. Wetlands Helpline

Publications can be ordered from this site on topics regarding wetlands, watershed protection, non point source pollution and water quality assessment. You can order information for yourself or for your whole class. 

Galveston Bay Information Network

Site offers information on water quality, public health, non-point source pollution and habitat protection.  You can also learn more about fresh water inflow, research projects, and point source pollution.

National Wetlands Inventory - Interactive Maps

You can enter data about your region and create your own printable wetlands map.    You can determine wetland acreage and area, view a topographic map of the area, and download digital wetlands data for use in GIS applications.  This site has a lot to offer!

Texas Bureau of Economic Geology

This is an excellent source for color maps that detail river basins, aquifers, land resources, geology, and vegetation types.

Texas Wetlands

Texas Parks and Wildlife have a wonderful site that explains why different regional climates result in regional differences in wetland types.  This site gives you the opportunity to learn more about wetlands and their importance.  You can get a lot of information about the different types of wetlands that can be found in Texas.  Very educational site.

A very useful site.  You can access information on wetland delineation, restoration, assessment, and much more.  Make sure that you take your time to mine this site.  There are lots of downloads offered to help you learn everything from wetlands construction to restoration.

What are Freshwater Wetlands?

Good introductory site that explains the types of wetlands, their importance, animals that can be found there, and the dangers that face wetland ecosystems.
