While the RFC is run by Rice University students, it is open to whomever wishes to join: students, faculty members, and community members are all welcome to fence with us.
Membership
There is a membership fee for participants to help cover equipment costs. Additionally, If you are not a Rice student, the Rice Recreation Center requires that community members buy a Center membership to join the club. Visitors can pay $5 per visit to access any part of the facilities (including the multipurpose rooms where we fence).
Equipment
The club owns weapons of all three types, jackets, masks, and electric strip equipment as well. If you are looking to learn how to fence or would like to get some bouts in please let us know.
