When Disaster Strikes:
Managing the Response to Terrorism & Multiple Casualty Incidents


On Saturday, January 26, 2002, Rice University Emergency Medical Services hosted a one day seminar entitled "When Disaster Strikes: Managing the Response to Terrorism & Multiple Casualty Incidents" on the campus of Rice University in Houston, Texas. The seminar featured six, one hour presentations by a group of distinguished individuals with extensive backgrounds in incident command and management, search and rescue, emergency management, weapons of mass destruction, and federal law enforcement. Continuing education hours were offered for EMS certificate and license holders, as well as for law enforcement officers. There were over 100 participants in attendance.
