Ruth Altchek, the non-resident art award winner this issue, explores expression through a variety of mediums.

                  NO TSU OH

The resident photo essay winner this issue is Laurie Scott. Her essay centers itself around "NO TSU OH," a small cafe in downtown Houston.  An oasis for artists, musicians, students, homeless, and loners, "NO TSU OH" is, other than clubs, one of the few places frequented at night in lonely downtown Houston.
