PBKPhi Beta Kappa Teaching Prize

Each year, the Beta of Texas chapter recognizes a non-tenured assistant professor for outstanding teaching performance. In the face of intense emphasis to publish and serve professionally, these faculty have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to student education.

An ad hoc committee of the General Membership reviews student evaluations for non-tenured assistant professors. The President of the chapter notifies the outstanding faculty member and presents the award at the spring Initiation Ceremony. The award includes an honorarium (currently $1,500).
