Research Projects

My current research involves 3 main projects:
1) Tropospheric Ozone Pollution
2) Ozone Loss in the Arctic Stratosphere
3) Research in Physics Education (RIPE)

Research in Physics Education (RIPE)
We are developing a research project to investigate learning in the first-year physics classroom at Rice University. In particular, we are interested in assessing the effectiveness of electronic media in the classroom, investigating the differences in learning styles of students in introductory physics classes, and designing better instruments for course and student evaluation. Our collaboration includes faculty and graduate students at the University of Houston, American University, and Valparaiso University. This project has been funded through two Brown Teach Grants from the Brown Foundation at Rice University
