Updated 9/4/2001
The Sid Richardson College Society of Fellows is a group of Sid juniors and seniors who dedicate their time and resources to create a strong academic environment in the college. Selected for their academic achievement and their desire to help others, the fellows do everything from leading tutorials to providing academic advice. Former Sid Fellow Dan Grossman may have said it best, ?No matter what problem set or lecture material is giving you trouble, at least one of the Fellows knows the material and is eager to help. The philosophy of the Fellows is simple: everybody at Rice needs help from time to time."

The Sid Fellows...
 - Organize and lead tutorials for popular Rice courses;
 - Provide one-on-one assistance with course material;
 - Proofread papers (in multiple languages);
 - Conduct help sessions for everything from library resources to computational tools;
 - Offer advice regarding the selection of courses and majors;
 - Keep Sid aware of academic news and upcoming deadlines;
 - Maintain the Sid Test File (along with the Academics Committee).

For more information, see the Fellows Constitution.

ONE LAST THING TO REMEMBER:  No one should ever feel embarrassed or shy about asking a Fellow for assistance. That is what we are here for and what we enjoy doing. No matter what time of day, you will surely be able to find one of us awake and ready to lend a helping hand.
