This photograph really doesn't have an associated story: I took it on a weekend trip to Salamanca, Spain. The cathedral is in the background and the courtyard of a monastery is in the foreground. One of my favorite things about Spain was how the cathedral spines would sneak up on you as you were walking down the street or inside another building, and here I was trying to capture that feeling. In addition, the pattern of the arches in the courtyard was interesting so I chose to use one to frame the cathedral.
