11:38 a.m. 18 April. The bikers head out from Bastrop for the last three break points before Austin. I'm feeling pretty good.
Second stop after Bastrop
1:16 p.m. 18 April. I forgot to take a photo at the first stop after Bastrop, so here's the second stop. Pretty crowded but I took my time to rest. Didn't want to "bonk" before I got to Austin.
Last stop before Austin
3:02 p,m. 18 April. The last rest stop before Austin. I was tired of Power Bars so I had two beef fajitas before I left. A grateful mutt ate my scraps. The rest stop was at a restaurant out in the country on FM 969. I don't remember the name of the restaurant.
I Made It!
3:53 p.m. 18 April. I made it into Austin where my wife, daughter, and sister were waiting for me. They yelled as I crossed the finish line. 173 miles total. I was happy, hot, and tired.
Better Smile This Time
