Refineries Everywhere
After the Fred Hartmann Bridge we passed by every refinery and chemical plant in Baytown.

The San Jacinto Monument is looming in the far background on our way to the Ferry.
Waiting for the Ferry
The bikers line up waiting to get on the Lynchburg Ferry; the first rest stop is to the right. I ate my Powerbars and drank the Gatorade from my bike pack.

On the Lychburg Ferry crossing the San Jacinto River. About 50-75 bikers were on each trip.
Through the Highlands
After crossing IH 10 we made our way through the streets of Highlands.
Second Rest Stop
The second rest stop on Wallisville Road; I carbed up on bananas and Gatorade.
The Third Leg
On the third leg of the ride, feeling pretty good.

I passed a beautiful old-style white house with a front porch, columns, and azaleas out front.
The Third Rest Stop
The Boy Scouts of Baytown manned the third rest stop. The end is near!

On the last leg of the ride bikers were passing me.
That Bridge Again
As we got closer to the finish line the Fred Hartmann Bridge began to loom again in the distance.

Westminster Presbyterian
The sign in front of Westminster Presbyterian on Bayway Drive. I helped my Dad build this sign when I was a kid, don't remember how old.
