A traveler on the Road

was asked if he would speak

about the Sufi way.

He said: "it is a maze

which leads you to nowhere.

"The masters of the way

never speak of its goal

or destination.

"Philosophers and fools

are searching for the truth;

but Truth cannot be found.

"The Paradox is this:

The Truth is never Hidden,

though He resides Within;

and He is Mainfest,

but Unobservable.

"To find is to reveal;

but how can you reveal

that which you cannot know?

"The Sufi on the way

should not expect to find,

or expect to be found.

"The Sufi on the way

is not seeking the Real:

he is seeking the Real".
