The education and outreach plan for the project contributes to all five strategies of the NEES Education, Outreach, and Training (EOT) program. The education and outreach activities will concentrate on two major activities:

1. Development of a program targeted toward under-represented students and pre-college students (includes development of web-based tools including computational simulations, live physical experiments, and interactive animated data visualization); and
2. Development of a multi-campus graduate curriculum in advanced seismic protection systems.
