James L. Dannemiller's Laboratory

Our research is directed toward understanding the development
of visual attention during the period of infancy as well as how
visual attention functions in the adult. We use behavioral methods
to try to understand how the processes responsible for visual
selection develop. By comparing studies with infants and adults
we seek to gain a better understanding of the changes that
take place in these vitally important processes. Our research is
funded by a grant from the National Institute of Child Health and
Human Development.
