Who can attend the College Leadership Workshop (CLW)?
While some of the information presented may be more applicable to your junior and/or senior years, any high school students are welcome! How do I register for CLW?

The last day you can register is Saturday, October 10, 2009.What is the fee for attending CLW?
The fee is $3 for each high school student who attends. Please notice that this year there is a late fee of $5 for those who register at the door, and he/she will not be guaranteed a T-shirt. Cash or checks are accepted. This fee covers breakfast, lunch, speaker, t-shirts, supplies, etc.
NOTE: This fee is nonrefundable and will only be refunded if no space is available for student.When do I pay the fee?
You pay the fee when you check in on the morning of CLW, Saturday, October 17, 2009.Should I bring anything to CLW?
Just bring $3 ($5 late)—either cash or check. When you check in, you will be given a folder containing the CLW schedule, the list of workshops and descriptions, contact information of workshop leaders, and scratch paper along with writing utensils and a t-shirt for you to wear that day.How do I get to Rice University?

Yes. Free parking is provided in the Jones Business School parking garage. You will need to get a ticket as you enter the parking garage. We will provide you a voucher at the end of the day that will allow you to get out of the parking garage for free.I’ve heard that I can bring a copy of my college application essay for a workshop leader to proofread. Is this true?
If you have already written your college essay, by all means bring a copy of it with you to CLW. However, due to the busy schedule, the workshop leaders may or may not have time to proofread your entire essay and give constructive comments. Instead of requesting an entire proofread, we recommend that you ask specific questions pertaining to certain problem areas in your essay. That way, the workshop leader(s) can focus on these problems in the limited time they have.
