Driving Directions to Rice University:

Rice University is located at 6100 Main Street, Houston, TX 77005. The campus is bordered by Main Street, Greenbriar Street, Rice, Sunset and University Boulevards. Questions? Call us at 713-WELCOME (713-935-2663).

Driving from the South:

Go North on 59 and exit at Greenbriar. Stay on the frontage road, turn right on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Stay on Rice Boulevard until you see entrance #20, turn right into Rice campus. Park at the Central Campus Garage and follow the CLW signs to Herring Hall (see map).

Driving from the North or Downtown:

Go South on 59 and take the Shepherd/Greenbriar exit. Stay on the frontage road, turn left on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Stay on Rice Boulevard until you see entrance #20, turn right into Rice campus. Park at the Central Campus Garage and follow the CLW signs to Herring Hall (see map).

Parking

If you are driving and need to park, please do so at the Central Campus Garage (building #44 on the map). At the garage entrance, please follow instructions to obtain entry into the garage. You may need to use a credit card. Upon departure from Rice, you will receive a parking validation from a volunteer to waive any parking fees. Upon exit from the garage, please remember to insert the validation first, then the ticket or credit card. This will ensure that the transaction does not charge the customer.
