I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemistry at Rice University, Houston, TX. I am working under the guidance of Dr. Jeffrey D. Hartgerink. I work on synthetic collagen mimics and their use as a bioactive material for tissue engineering.
I was born and brought up in Bhiwani, a small town in the state of Haryana, India. I finished my schooling from Halwasiya Vidya Vihar, Bhiwani in 1999. Afterwards, I joined Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur as a M.Sc.(Integrated) student in Chemistry Department. After completing my Bachelor of Science (2002) and Master of Science (2004) in Industrial Chemistry, I joined Rice University as a graduate student in Fall 2004.
