Club Nationals 2004:
Several current and former Miss Red players made appearances at Club Nationals this year.
Zanzara, a Houston-based women's team, made its first showing at Natties a memorable one.
Current Rice players Catie Newell and Hsing-Hui Hsu and alums Julia Baumann and A.J.
Moore had strong showings for ZZ.
Alumna Jenny (Dale) Miller was there with coed team Brass Monkey, and Daphne was there with
some unknown (to me) team.
Poultry Days 2004:
A.J. reports:
I wanted to say thanks to everyone who came to Versailles this past weekend. It was a good time
as far as i was concerned.... For those of you that don't know... we did not storm to the bottom of
the b-pool, nor did we take Miss Chick for conquesting the C-pool, and in fact we were shortly kicked
out of the D-Pool. But that is only because we didn't want to have all the fun without those of you
who didn't make it this year. We thought we would save it for you when you come NEXT YEAR.
All that said, Andy, send your pictures, Kevin and all with better memories than me, post the cheers,
and those of you who owe me money, pay up.
While we didn't have as many subs this year to spend most of our time on the sidelines chatting,
losing games quickly afforded us catch-up time nonetheless. So we all caught up with each other and realized
we wish we knew more of what was going on with everyone. So if you are pregnant, married, getting married,
moving, you name it, send the list a message so we can send you a postcard, well wishes, good luck, whatever...
in pdays we trust
Poultry Days 2003:
We are looking for submissions from alumni who attended Poultry Days 2003 for more information about what
went down.
Poultry Days 2002:
Around 25 Rice Ultimate Alums showed up for Poultry Days, a tournament in June of 2002!
Jenny (Dale) Miller Writes, "Poultry days was awesome. We had about 25 people, way too many for one team,
but it worked out ok. The weekend was cold and rainy and we had a blast. Great to play with the old gang.
We won the C pool and got our picture taken with Miss Chick and both runners-up. Quite an experience.
We also got a huge trophy, which I think may be in Houston somewhere. In 2003 we're aiming for the B pool!
"Alice says: The Rice Alum team, Chicken Fried Rice (although it was a close call between this name and
Chicken Dianne (for those of you old enough to remember the days of CK's Chicken Dianne), fielded a HUGE
team, with alums all the way back to 1996. whoa. although a bit rusty on day 1, we managed to make the best
of being placed in the C pool, and won every game thereafter. So, you might say we were 'won the (c pool)
championships'. hahaha. More than that, though, we had a fucking hoot and holler. How could you not with 20+
Rice frisbee players and dancers all camping out together in the middle of Ohio? we should make a habit of
this tourny.
Here are some pics of the Rice alum team at poultry days. there is a group shot with 'Miss Chic'
as well as lots of random things.

Worlds 2002:
Alice Hill reports: Although there was not a Rice Alum team, we could have had one since there were
7 Rice alums in Hawaii for the 6 day tourny. Jam (Damien and Coco) and Otis (Alfie and Alice) didn't have such
great showings, and got eliminated prematurely in the round of 16. BRU (Jenny Dale Miller) lost in quarter finals,
and Hang Time (AJ) made it to the fucking finals, although ended up losing to the now-coed-national-champs,
Donner Party. Juliette rounded out the alum 7 as cheerleader numero uno. Andrea played for Britain's Bliss
in the tournament, but her now-permanent team, O-Zone, also lost in the finals to Seattle Riot. So hot damn,
how is that for a small school with big representation. I think we figured out that the only other school
with this many alums or players at the tournament was Stanford.
