  • (March 30,2008) 2008 TSA Super Cup Bowling Game Look forward to knock down all 120 pins on Sunday, 3/30/2008 at AMF Bunker Hill bowling arena!

  • (March 21, 2008) Rice Culture Fair Come taste the international flavor on a grand scale! A wide array of country booths-from Iran to Africa, from Israel to Japan, from Taiwan to France- presented their treasured cultural tidbits to the Rice community. In addition to enjoying calligraphy demonstrations, aboriginal knitting displays, knot-tying demonstrations, and Taiwanese sausage and snacks tasting, everyone who came to the Rice TSA booth could also play the Taiwanese night-market pinball game on the colorful, handmade game board and win fabulous prizes!

  • (February 21, 2008) International Partio The MBA school hosted this colorful and lively carnival, with dragon dancing and belly dancing intermixed with food and beverages from around the world. The Taiwanese and Chinese ladies were dressed in sparkling traditional Qi-Pao, while children gave their best shots to collect sweets from the giant Mexican airplane pinata.

  • (February 9, 2008) Year of the Golden Rat Dinner With luxurious lobster and giant prawn dishes at the Ocean Palace seafood restaurant, members, families, and friends of the Rice TSA celebrated the Chinese New Year together around the round tables. Carla, Schubert, and Kaiwei hosted traditional Chinese idiom games and riddle-solving contests, with two glistening "golden rats" as the grand prizes. Every participant also took home elegant red envelops, signifying an auspicious and prosperous new year.
  • (Dec. 15, 2007) Christmas Ice Skating Night TSA members of all skating levels glided gracefully across the ice with a spectacular 3-stories-tall Christmas tree ni the center of the ice rink. Professional coach Emma gave a 30-minute introductory lesson to the Rice Taiwanese students while snowflakes gently descended from the ceiling of Houston¡¦s Galleria shopping mall.

  • (Oct. 7, 2007) Wings Over Houston Air Show Talking about an eye opener, visitors got to hear sonic booms and view aerial demonstrations of F-4, F-15, F-16, F-18, F-117 fighter jets, the Canadian Snowbirds, as well as a broad range of other military, civil, and NASA aircraft on display at the Ellington Field airport. Look forward to next year¡¦s air show on Oct. 25-26, 2008

  • (Sep. 27, 2007) Mid-Autumn Festival Moon Viewing Party A traditional moon watching party, the participants enjoyed tasty moon cakes and refreshing green tee under a beautiful full moon on the open grass field at Houston¡¦s Miller Outdoor Theater.

  • (Sep. 21, 2007) Mid-Autumn Festival dinner gathering The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Houston hosted this generous dinner for Taiwanese students and scholars studying in the Houston area universities. Director Lee of the Cultural Division encouraged everyone representing Taiwan in Houston to compete on ambition and not on rage.

  • (Sep. 8, 2007) TSA new comer welcome partyWelcome Party and BBQ With bright sunshine, glistening swimming pool, delicious barbeque, fun-filled games, and magnificent lottery prizes, we welcomed back current members and introduced new Rice TSA members through this outdoor beginning-of-semester party.
