Love Street, was a popular although short-lived club in the late 60', downtown on Allens Bayou. It was small with a capacity of under 200. It wasn't to fancy but had a lot of great psychedelic music with mostly local bands like the 13th Floor Elevators and the Moving Sidewalks performing there regularly. Sometimes a big artist that played the Coliseum would walk over and jam with the locals after their concerts. It was rumored that Hendrix himself stopped by after his concert and jammed with Billy Gibbons.
