Written Assignment 5. Due February 23.
Introduction
For this week one of the readings is an article by Thomas Friedman. He proposes
what he calls "the first law of petropolitics." Your assignment is to develop
3 hypotheses based on this article. One of the hypotheses can be taken from the
article. But you have to develop the other two.
What to Turn In
You should clearly state each hypothesis in the form of a single sentence.
You should also explain the hypothesis. That is, what is the connection
between the two variables (i.e., "explain the arrow"). You do not have to
produce a diagram.
