Applications available on vet
The vet machine has many user tools available to its users, in addition
to the SAS and SPSS products. The tools are in the areas of editors,
file management, compression routines, mail processing and compilers.
Listed below are the products currently installed on vet. If there is
a product that you require on vet that is not listed, please send a note
to statlab@stat.rice.edu. We will try to accomodate all reasonable requests.
Main Operating System: IBM AIX V4.1.4
Compilers:
AIX XL FORTRAN
g ++ 2.7.2
Online Documentation:
AIX (invoke in x windows with "info -g" for fullscreen format)
XL FORTRAN (invoke with "info -l xlf ")
C compiler (invoke with "info -l xlc ")
File Management:
Uni-Flist (works similar to CMS Flist command)
Editors:

emacs 19.30
gnuemacs 19.30
Uni-Xedit (similar to CMS xedit, command line or GUI mode)
