Information for Finding a Rice Student
Tutor
Rice students serve as tutors in many capacities.
Unfortunately, the volunteer tutoring programs that you can read
about on this web page (ROMP and WARM, for example) are not designed to
be expanded. These are established programs at specific schools. We do
not have the resources at the current time to add more tutoring programs
at your school. Nor do we offer programs for individual children.
If you are looking for a tutor for your child or school, there are some
options available to you.
For Paid Tutoring
If you are able to pay the tutor, there are three options available to
you:
- Contact Rice's Career
Service Center to advertise to students looking for jobs. You may
contact them by phone at (713) 348-4055 or by sending them an e-mail.
- Contact Rice's
Financial Aid Office to advertise to students looking for jobs here
as well. You may contact them by phone at (713) 348-4958 or by sending
them an e-mail.
- Contact the Rice
Thresher, our school newspaper, to run an ad in the classifieds section.
You may contact them by phone at (713) 348-4801 or by sending them an
e-mail.
For Unpaid Tutors
You may submit information for publication in our electronic newletter GIVE-A-HOOT,
which is sent to students approximately every two weeks. Please click
here for more information about GIVE-A-HOOT.
