French Conference on post-colonial cultural identities
On 14-15 December 1995, Université Charles de Gaulle in Lille,
France, held a Conference titled "Culture et Economie dans la Grande
Europe et le Monde" (Culture and Economy in the Greater Europe and
the World). The Conference dealt with "free markets and cultural
identities" in European countries and in their former colonies. The
Conference was organized by Professor Annie Allain of the Charles de
Gaulle University. East and Central Europe, as well as Russia, were
amply represented.
E-mail newsgroup for teachers and students of Polish
Louis Janus of the Center for Advanced Research on Language
Acquisition (University of Minnesota, 612-627-1872) organized this
newsgroup in which persons from across the United States exchange
questions and information concerning the proper use of Polish. The
