Marek Chodakiewicz is an Assistant Professor of History at the Miller Center for International Studies, University of Virginia, and author of numerous books on twentieth-century Polish, Jewish and Russian history.

Steven Clancy is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Chicago.

Teresa Halikowska-Smith received her undergraduate degree in Polish from the University of Warsaw and did her graduate studies in Polish at Oxford. She is an independent researcher residing in Great Britain.

Zofia Ptasnik was a Polish housewife deported by the Soviets to Kazakhstan in 1940. She died of malnutrition and overwork in 1941.

Aleksandra Ziólkowska-Boehm is, most recently, the author of Podróze z moja kotka (2002).
