Rice Salseros

Who Are We?

Rice Salseros is a student organization at Rice University. We focus on teaching, performing, and enjoying salsa dance. We serve as the link between the Rice community and the Salsa community. We have formed an alliance with Houston Salsa Dancers, Inc. in order to give Rice students to opportunity to be active in salsa events and share the resources of the biggest salsa promoter in this area of the country, Prof. Jorge L. Mercado. We provide instruction in salsa, mambo, merengue, bachata, and cha-cha. We hope to build a strong salsa community at Rice University and make an impact on the community at large.
