Walter Chapman's paper, "New Reference Equation of State for Associating Liquids," has been named the sixth-most-often-cited article over the past 30 years by the journal Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research.  Two of the other most-cited papers in the top 12 are derivative of the work of Chapman and his colleagues.
