"I studied my B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Systems, respectively, at Tecnológico de Monterrey, in Monterrey, Mexico.

I am an Assistant Professor (on-leave) of the Chemical Engineering Department at this University. I enjoy spending time with Lily, my wife, watching movies and going out to know new places. "

Education:

  • B.S. (1999) Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico

  • M.S. (2002) Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico

Research:

My current project is related to the modeling and simulation of asphaltene precipitation and deposition during oil production. Asphaltene deposits can affect dramatically the profitability of a well, inducing, in extreme cases, its complete plugging. Better understanding of the mechanisms by which asphaltenes disperse, precipitate and deposit is needed in order to improve the prediction and avoid the problems associated to them.
