10/26/08 Overtime Victory Over Texas State

On Sunday, Rice arrived at the pool deck bright and early ready to do anything but play water polo. Despite the poor condition of several of the team's players, the Owls still managed to warm-up. The night before was the infamous "Night of Decadence", and needless to say, this young team partook in the festivities. With both Craig and Engardo still covered in permanent marker, Rice was a force to be reckoned with.

The Owls started off with a quick 4-0 start due to goals by both Craig and Bryant, and great defense by Nick. This lead soon dwindled down to a 5-5 tie in the fourth quarter. However, in overtime, Rice stepped it up once again to put two goals by Texas State's goalie while Rice's goalie, Zig, did not allow a single penetration.
