Rice University Press ceased operations on December 31, 1996.

Many of the titles published by Rice continue to be available from Texas A&M University Press.

Birds of Houston by B. C. Robison, Image & Memory by W. Watriss, and Wildflowers of Houston by John Tveten and Gloria Tveten are available from the University of Texas Press.

Brassaï by Gilberte Brassaï is available through the University of Chicago Press.
