Assignment 8

First, finish last week's assignment. For those of you who have figured out a well-defined extension to your paper, remind me. For those of you who have not, write me a brief note indicating how you intend to extend the paper.

Second, take the two models that Eavey and Miller (1984) propose. The first is a "bureaucratic imposition" model. The second is a "bureaucratic bargaining" model. Write up a brief extension of one or both of these models to something you are interested in. That is, define the actors and indciate the space over which they are in conflict. What does this allow you to explain? I expect no more than one page (including any diagrams if you think they will be helpful).
