Assignment 10

The readings can be found in the syllabus posted on the web (Here's the Link). Your tenth assignment is due Monday, November 11th.

Please do the following:

Construct an example of Shepsle's 1979 article for 7 actors in two dimensions. Let 4 actors be members of one committee and 3 actors be a members of the second committee.

First do this where all actors have separable preferences. Is there an equilibrium?

Second, do this where the actors have non-separable preferences. Is there an equilibrium?

As a hint, this is going to require a lot of drawing. Put the actors wherever you like. Don't take the easy way out and impose a preference-induced equilibrium.

Have fun.
