Welcome to the Rice SPS Website

Please note the website is undergoing major renovation. If you encounter dead links or have input you would like to share, please contact aps1 [at] rice.edu

Rice SPS is the Rice University chapter of the national Society of Physics Students, an organization overseen by the American Institute of Physics.

Rice SPS serves the Rice undergraduate Physics students and alumni by providing info, help sessions, and activities -- all in the name of Physics. Activities have traditionally included field trips to various Physics related sites, such as NASA's Johnson Space Center and the University of North Texas' particle accelerator facility, performing Physics demonstrations for school children, setting up Physics GRE review sessions, and of course the annual post-GRE Physics/Reggae Party. If you want to find out more about Rice Physics, or Rice Physics students (both past and present), this is the place to look.

But since you procrastinated on your lab, you should probably be in a basment somewhere!
