季恒 Ji, Heng

My name is Heng Ji, a second year graduate student in Physics & Astronomy Department. Now I'm running for the President of RCSSC.

I joined RCSSC in the summer of 2010. At the beginning, my major job was to prepare the 2010 Mid-Autumn Festival gala as a vice director, cooperating with the director Cen-bi Liu and the president Jiankui He. Then, due to Jiankui's graduation, hehanded over his responsibility to me, and I became the acting president of RCSSC, which is also my current position.

In the past year, Ihave had a lot of valuable experiencefrom all the activities RCSSC have held. I also had a great time when cooperating with all the Chinese students here as well as the other students in Rice community. In the meantime, I want to keep the continuity of this position, because it will help RCSSC to better maintain the connection with GSA and other off-campus groups.

I believe my performance in the past year has proved my responsibility and capacity to be competent at this position. If I have the chance to serve this biggest international students community in Rice University, besides continuing all the traditional activities RCSSC held, I would also like to cooperate with University of Houston and Baylor College of Medical on more events to broaden our Chinese community.
