SPINTRONICS / NANOPHYSICS

Research areas: nano/surface physics with emphasis on magnetic, electronic and magnetoelectronic properties of 1D, 2D and 3D nanostructures, nonvolatile magnetic memory materials, spin electronics and spin valve systems, spin-polarized electron spectroscopies, magnetic domain imaging spectroscopies, focused ion beam nano-lithography, magneto-optical Kerr effect, spin-polarized scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy. Required experience: Micro/nanomagnetism, Giant magneto-resistance (GMR) and ultra-high vacuum (UHV).
