John Tveten says of the flycatchers, "The tiny Empidonax flycatchers are extremely difficult to identify. All are drab olive-gray birds with prominent wing-bars and light eye-rings." Given the published images, this is probably a Least Flycatcher or an Acadian Flycatcher (E. virescens). Kaufman (237) has useful likenesses.
