Ross Saunders
1938-2005
The names at left are some of the birds that have
been sighted on the farm in Houston County. They are
listed here because they have been photographed. There are many
more waiting
to be added.
Assuming correct identifications, there are now
110+ species documented for this
location. The 100th bird was a Black-Shouldered Kite.
The most recent was a Snowy Egret.
Occasionally, a newer (better?) photo will be substituted
for an older. And an identification may be changed or rescinded.
In looking back through previous photographs, a missed bird may
be found, and the total increased. In that way, the most recent
is a Swamp Sparrow.
