An advanced graduate seminar in the psychology of vision covering the neural, psychophysical, and phenomenological approaches to visual perception.
Prereqs:-PSYC 521 or permission of instructor.

Structure of course: For this course there will be two elements:

(1) reading the Palmer text cover to cover, with full class discussion of each chapter

(2) a project, which can be either writing a paper on a topic agreed upon mutually, or an original experiment

Grading will be based on (1) leading class discussion on your assigned chapters; (2) general class participation
 (3) your project or participation in a class experiment.
