about me

Originally from Austin, Texas, I moved to Houston after graduating from UT. From the first day I arrived, I have loved the city and it's wonderful energy. My family consists of my parents, three sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, my husband, Leo, and four children. And now we have Lucy, our English Cocker Spaniel (family photo).

In 1971 I received my B.A. degree in English and for several years was involved with research and writing in marketing and architecture. For the past ten years I have been at Rice; the last two years in ECE with Richard Baraniuk and The DSP Group (Digital Signal Processing).
