VISIT THE SHEPHERD SCHOOL
A visit to the Shepherd School of Music is the best way to learn more about music study at Rice. While you are here, you can attend a class, observe a rehearsal, and speak with Shepherd School students and faculty. A member of the music admissions staff is available Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to meet with you and answer any of your questions. You can schedule your visit to the Shepherd School by calling Grimaldo Robles at 713-348-3578.
If you are interested in taking a lesson with a Shepherd School faculty member as part of your visit, please contact the teacher directly. The best time to request a lesson is in the fall semester, and not during the audition season of January and February. The individual faculty members establish lesson policies, including those pertaining to scheduling, cancellation and possible fees.
