Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra . Composer-in-Residence 2002 - 2005. Les espaces infinis performed Sept. 28, 29 , 2002. Commisssioned to write a 20-25 minute work for the orchestra's 2003-2004 season.
London Symphony Orchestra . In Aeternam for orchestra performed at the BBC Masterprize Finals Concert, Barbican Centre, London, England, October 10, 2001. Composition received first prize. Also released on covermount CD
with the BBC Magazine.
California Symphony . Young American Composer-in-Residence 1999-2002. Commissioned to write three orchestral works over this period: In Aeternam, Symphonia Sacra, and Kinetic Voices.
Albany Symphony . Commissioned to write three orchestral works from 1999 -2001. Transcendental Windows premiered on the Albany Symphony's American Music Festival on March 25, 2000. Les espaces infinis (Feb., 2001) and Centerpiece (Dec., 2001).
Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center . Performance of Songs of Gibran for soprano, cello, piano, and percussion by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center at Merkin Concert Hall, New York City on May 14, 1998.
Tanglewood Music Center Festival of Contemporary Music , 1999 . Guest Composer. Trio (1998) for violin, cello, and piano performed.
American Composers Orchestra . Commissioned to write an orchestral work, entitled Shock-Waves, premiered on May 11, 1997 at Carnegie Hall, New York City.
Midori Foundation . Commissioned by violinist Midori to write a work for violin, piano, and actors in collaboration with author/illustrator Maurice Sendak. Premiered by Midori on May 8, 1997 at Carnegie Recital Hall, New York City. |
