Meng
started her postdoctoral research in
Professor Mikos’ laboratory in September 2008. She received
her B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from TsingHua University in China
(1998) with an emphasis on polymeric materials. From 2003-2008, she
studied a self-assembled polymeric nanoparticle for targeted delivery
of anticancer drugs with Professor Molly S. Shoichet at University of
Toronto, Canada and earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and
Biomedical Engineering in 2008 from University of Toronto.
Meng’s
current research focuses upon the
development and evaluation of an antibiotic-releasing polymeric
scaffold for facilitating the space maintenance within a healing
osseous defect while preventing infections.
